A very little me about me: I decided in 2010 that I had put off becoming a writer long enough. I bought a new laptop, finished my degree, and began writing essays because I thought that words that are meaningful or important to me might be meaningful or important to people I may never meet.

Why? Because we never know at any given moment exactly what we need to give us courage, inspiration, or a smile.

And my writing history:

On the day she decided to do more than copy edit other writers' manuscripts, PJ began transitioning from copy editor to author. Her debut novel (2020), The Fire Slayers, blended science fiction with the forces that test love and loyalty. In Finding Persephone, the intrigue and romance deepen when an alien assassin, charged with keeping the secrets of an underground brotherhood, risks losing everything when he falls in love. Her third novel, Persephone’s Children, takes those genres a step further when the alien brotherhood threatens the life of the woman he loves and the children he has sworn to protect.

Released in September of 2025, The Bookbinder’s Apprentice and other Impossible Love Stories is a quartet of short stories that follow an ambitious actor, a fallen angel, a student far from home, and a mother as they each confront romantic complexities when desire collides with the unexpected.

In her forthcoming novel (August 2026), The Painted Fan, PJ stretches the romance genre into new territory, including paranormal, history, and urban fantasy.

When she isn’t writing, you will find her sitting on the sun deck with her rescued Aussies, Nymeria and Kaela. She will be the one with a book in one hand and a glass of sangria in the other.
